The Past week- moving and bowling

Well it has been a very very odd and busy week. Here is a recap- Monday: ordered an external antenna for my laptop and talked to Wilma about getting keys on Tuesday for my apartment. Tuesday: got my keys and all the fun paper work finished for my apartment, stayed the night there on Krissy's top bunk that is now my bed frame. Wednesday- got an email saying my antenna was shipped, went to Noodles and the Mill procrastinated. Thursday- Grey's at Laura's more packing and unpacking. Friday- oh forget this day by day play by play.
All week I have been packing stuff from the Yancer house and moving it in to my new apartment. On Sunday we had bowling Intramurals, moved my bed and other stuff from the house. Krissy locked herself out of her apartment, ordered Girl Scout Cookies, made spare keys, unpacked. So now my apartment (5020 Bancroft Ave apt. H) is still in upheaval but I have most everything from the house and in my place. Krissy and I have decided that my place will be the movie watching, guest entertaining place cause I have the TV and hers will be the studying place. We'll see how long that really works out. A desk is coming to my apartment sometime in the future so who knows. Anywho that is my life in a nut shell. The past couple weeks have been a blur so some incidents might be from other weeks or incidents from this week are left out. My apologies incidents and people I have left out. Oh yeah last night after studying Joe, Krissy and Mal went bowling again. My forearm is sore. Does any one know what they call 5 spares in a row?

My Classes

Well after much deliberation and reviewing the entire bulletin and its majors... I am staying with General Studies. Despite receiving grief from both my sisters about finishing with a GS instead of finishing a full degree, I still feel this is the best choice. The future looks promising and at the same time very daunting. There are many irons in the fire for after graduation, most of them hopes. It is unknown which will come to fruition. I have been using that word a lot as of late. Fruition is such a fun word and it makes me think of Kiwis, Apples, and Strawberries. Yum..
Anyways this blog is a short one cause I am taking a break from reading my Revelation commentary book thing. After about 1 hour of reading, I am only half way through the 40 some odd pages. Bah. My Business and Philosophy classes are the only things getting me through the day. Revelation, Prophets, and Early SdA Church History are not going to be fun. Oh well they are means to and end right?
Okay ok... I know I need to be getting back to reading. Lay off will ya. Just kidding.

Another Semester

Well it's official, Spring 2007 semester has begun and begun boreingly. I understand why we have the MWF classes both on Tuesday and Wednesday but it still is not fun. My class load on those days is currently 4 hours in a row. Two from the same teacher but different classes. The other two classes on MWF are Business classes and are interesting.
The past few have gotten me thinking. Ever since I changed from IRR to General Studies people, mainly my sister, have been telling me to finish with a degree other than GS. I am in total agreement with them. General Studies is not what I want to graduate with but I also don't want to spend another two years chaseing another degree. I'm in the hole enough already with finances, I don't need another $40k in debt to my name. Also I don't know what degree would be worth getting in short notice instead of GS.
Last night Krissy and I were in the Graphics Lab talking with Beau about this. He has been floating between PR and Graphics for a while and his PR classes look like they are going to drive him up a wall. Krissy's old roommate graduated in May with an Education major but is back to get a Communications degree. She is graduating again in May with it. In my searching I worked through the bulletin til I got to Humanities. There I found the Communications degree requirements and I too could graduate next May with a Communications degree. Now I am fighting with another issue.
I am not looking forward to my Religion classes, Prophets, Revelation, and early SDA church history, and I am excited about my Business classes. The conundrum I am in now is wether it would be worth graduating with GS this year and come back in August to get a Communications degree OR drop my Religion classes take classes I want and that fit into my schedule and Graduate with Communications next year and nothing this May.
Pros and Cons are staring me down from both options. Many times when you come back for a second degree, you won't get financial aid and if you do it won't be as much. I could wait two years and come back for guarunteed Ed but I don't know if that works for GS. Also family members are planning for me to Graduate this May and if they have already made plans not graduating May 07 but May 08 would screw things up. Arg.
Anyways thats what has been happening as of late. I have class in 20 minutes and I should try to be early this time.
