The Last Mimzy

I know I haven't been posting much as of late. Well actually I don't post that much at all but here is one that will be short as always, cause I need to get some sleep tonight.

Yesterday, Krissy and I were working on projects all day long. I almost had my Investment Worksheet B done when the program crashed and the dumb program did not have an auto save option that was turned on. I found this out after recovering the file and losing my 2 hours of work. Anyways the evening came around and we decided to go get my free birthday ice cream from Coldstone Creamery. You should sign up for their birthday club by the way. I totally forgot about Red Robin but thats okay and another story. Anyways we went to the South Pointe store and had to wait like a half hour cause everyone wanted ice cream being it was almost 80 degrees yesterday and gorgeous!!!!
Whilst walking around the mall we came full circle to the movie theater. Krissy has been wanting to go see the Last Mimzy and I think most of you would really like it. They are marketing it as a family SciFi and they did a great job of making the film such. So in recap, sign up for free ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery if you are close to one or even if you aren't, maybe some day you will be. Ohh ohh and go see The Last Mimzy, its a really great movie and makes you think about what we might be like in the future. Cool twist on Aliens is all I'm saying. Oh and it is based on a short story by Henry Kuttner. Go Amazon.com NIGHT!!!!

You know you are IRR if:

You’ve ever worn combat or hiking boots with your dress pants.

You feel naked without a knife, lighter, and flashlight on your person.

You don’t smoke but always have a lighter in your pocket.

No matter where you are, you look for something to climb.

A rock isn’t just a rock, it is a possible anchor for a 3:1 rig

When you shake someone’s hand you look at their veins for an IV stick

Bombproof, copious, and cyanotic are common words in your vocabulary

Routes people call impassable or impossible you see as a challenge

MacGyver is one of your favorite shows, you hope to own all the seasons

You never leave on a hike without at least: 2 days of food, a water purifier, 3 knives, 3 sources of fire, 2 flashlights, a roll of duct tape, toilet paper, and baling twine

You wear wool socks all year long, just a different thickness

You not only know how to use a blood pressure cuff and a stethoscope but also how to use them as tourniquets and E/T tubes

When ever a semi truck passes, you pull out your HAZMAT book to find out what it’s carrying

Medical shows frustrate you because they aren’t doing CPR correctly

You know what dandelions, grass, raspberry leaves, silver leaf, wild onions, stinging nettles, and grasshoppers taste like.

You know you are IRR when you get excited when people get hurt.

You’ve told people more than once “I can save you!!!”

You’ve seen Dr. Mike with weed

You can make up 20 verses about the Summer Program

Papa Smirf, Admiral Duckie, and Captain Black beard are friends of yours.

Lots of ketchup is gross, lots of blood isn’t

You hate the phrase “dry heartwood shavings”

You have night classes as a daytime student, a 1 hour course is short, and Sunday is a weekday

BTLS, BDLS, CISM, NASAR, SCUBA, E/T and AED are common acronyms

Your certification patches cover over 50% of your backpack, your wallet is fat not because of money but certification cards, or you have more framed certifications that most doctors.

Lastly, you know you are IRR when
You don’t worry about passing classes, you worry about surviving them, literally.

Last week

Last week we had a snow day on Thursday. You might have caught that from the multiple other blogs what were written on that day from Union. Well Krissy, Beau, Megan, and I did something that no one else did on that snow day. We made 2 Easter Island statues, 1 named Murphy Bob and the other one is his wife. Sadly it got really warm over the weekend and well really since Monday it has been really warm and they died. I won't add a picture of their death cause it was sad. They lived a good life, got to enjoy the fresh air, feel the sun on all sides. *sniffle* But on a good note, for those of you who have not heard yet, Krissy and I are engaged now. I asked her Thursday night, she said yes. Her myspace and blog have pictures and probably the kind of information that make some of you oooo and aahhh. Anyways here is the first day of Murphy Bob and wife. Sorry about the sideways view.
