From my mother
I have always loved this forward but never seem to have it handy. My mom sent it to me earlier this week or late last week. I just wanted to post it to spread the love of our Frigid Northern States. Fitting since North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin have been in the negative double digits (-22 in Fargo this morning, -17 in Jamestown) this past couple weeks. Nancy Petta's dad had the pipes under their toilet freeze this week. They are in the basement. Anyways without further ado "We're a hearty bunch"
60 above zero:
Floridians turn on the heat.
People in Fargo plant gardens.
50 above zero:
Californians shiver uncontrollably.
People in Moorhead sunbathe.
40 above zero:
Italian and English cars won't start.
People in Dilworth drive with the windows down.
32 above zero:
Distilled water freezes.
The water in Detroit Lakes gets thicker.
20 above zero:
Floridians don coats, thermal underwear, gloves and wool hats.
People in West Fargo throw on a flannel shirt.
15 above zero:
New York Landlords finally turn up the heat.
People in Casselton have the last cookout before it gets cold.
Zero:
People in Miami all die.
North Dakotans close the windows.
10 below zero:
Californians fly away to Mexico.
People in Wahpeton get out their winter coats.
25 below zero:
Hollywood disintegrates.
The Girl Scouts in Hawley are selling cookies door to door.
40 below zero:
Washington DC runs out of hot air.
People in Mapleton let the dogs sleep indoors.
100 below zero:
Santa Claus abandons the North Pole.
People in Harwood get upset because they can't start the mini-van.
460 below zero:
ALL atomic motion stops. (Absolute zero on the Kelvin Scale).
People in Minnesota are saying, "Cold 'nuff fer ya?"
500 below zero:
Hell freezes over.
North Dakota public schools will open 2 hours late.

I really can't take the credit for sending it to you. It was Curt that found it and fowarded it. Glad you enjoyed it.
This made me laugh out loud. It's clear up in the teens here today, which means I'll be riding my bike the 3 miles to school again!
hahaha! you know, this is SO true! it has been in the 20s and 30s out here. last week it snowed like 1 INCH and they closed schools. some-such about icy road conditions. there is more salt on the roads than there is snow or ice...i laugh! at least i feel fine in this weather whilst everyone else around me freezes :) right now we're gearing up for a "winter storm" today and tomorrow. we'll see if it really is a storm. methinks maybe not.
